Dick Whyte (a.k.a. Supercomposer) works in various fields of art. He published videos, pictures, music and texts.

His works set up provokative combinations of subjects and themes as this tagcloud from his work “Paris Hilton – The Bather” (Digital Paintings, 2011) illustrates: Celebrity, Classical Painting, Detournement, Digital Art, Digital Painting, Feminism, Feminist Art, Henry Lehmann, Jean-Jacques Henner, Mashup, Naked, Nude, Paris Hilton, Paris Hilton Nude, Paris Hilton’s Bath, Photo Mashup, Photo Montage, Postmodern Art, Protomodern Art, The Bather, William Bouguereau, William Etty.

He not only combines different cultural expressions, he also explores the actual media and their possibilitys in his aesthetics – as in his youtube mashup “Capitalism and Schizophrenia – The Game (Grand Theft Auto Edition)”, in wich he combines “suicide jump videos on YouTube from GTA4 (Grand Theft Auto 4)” and social media. Internet platforms like myspace, youtube, vimeo, soundcloud and his blog are his gallery window, his projection wall …

His musical works have also a broad range – from folk to experimental remixes – as you can also see on the following piece done for CoLaboRadio by supercomposer at 12./13. February 2013 01:00 a.m. CET
